BALTIMORE  — Todd Garing, PE, LEED AP BD+C, vice president of Mueller Associates, will address air filtration in HVAC system design in a webinar entitled “Navigating the Issues of Air Filtration for Your Museum” on Monday, November 23, 2020, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. The webinar is a presentation of the American Alliance of Museum’s (AAM) Environment and Climate Network.

Garing will be joined by Mark Keen, co-chair of the AAM Environment and Climate Network; Dr. Peter DeCarlo, associate professor in the department of Environmental Health and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University; and Jeremy Linden, principal and owner of Linden Preservation Services. Garing’s presentation will include an overview of HVAC approaches to filtering aerosols. The webinar will also cover the impact of air filtration solutions on collections and a facility’s sustainable/energy profile, and how to work with consultants, including manufacturers and engineers, to achieve an appropriate level of air filtration within museum buildings.
