NEWARK, Del. — Strikepoint Group Holdings (SGH), a home services company, announced it has expanded its presence in the Tampa market through the recent acquisition of Pinellas Comfort Systems, a residential and commercial HVAC contractor serving Pinellas County, Florida. SGH currently owns and operates the Performance Air and Paradise Air brands in the Tampa area, and Elite Heating & Air in Sarasota.

Since 1957, Pinellas Comfort Systems has faithfully served the Tampa market. Under the leadership of Dean, Cheryl, and Greg Minton, the business has expanded rapidly in recent years by earning positive customer reviews and via word of mouth.

“Partnering with Strikepoint will allow Cheryl and I to ensure the company we worked so hard to build is in good hands and our customers and employees will be taken care of as we head into retirement,” said Dean Minton. “We’re excited about this partnership, and we are confident Strikepoint has the expertise to take Pinellas Comfort Systems to the next level.”

As part of the transition, Dean and Cheryl Minton will step down, while Dean’s brother, Greg Minton, will continue to lead the company.

“Adding the highly-regarded Pinellas Comfort Systems brand to our repertoire will help solidify our leadership position in the Tampa and Sarasota markets,” said SGH CEO Charlie Haines. “Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service and remain an employer of choice for anyone in the home services industry.”

The addition of Pinellas Comfort Systems into SGH’s portfolio of home services brands stretching from New England to Florida is the 21st deal in the last 21 months for the fast-growing company, formerly Horizon Group Holdings. The company continues to experience rapid growth through acquisitions of and partnerships with companies looking to expand their commitment to customers and enhance opportunities for employees.
