Ketan Namjoshi
Ketan Namjoshi had an interest in engineering from an early age that was inspired by his father, who’s a mechanical engineer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering while attending university in India. After receiving a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, he worked in the HVAC controls space. In 2017, he joined Johnson Controls as an associate product manager. He is now a product manager at the company.
The vast and different experience Ketan gained over his career has helped him in his role at Johnson Controls to better understand the product needs of various stakeholders and customers by consistently analyzing market data and monitoring future technology trends to help improve Johnson Controls products. He also stays closely up-to-date on industry standards and regulations that impact product continuity, such as the DOE 2023 energy efficiency standards. He also participates in voice of customer discussions to understand customer requirements and product feedback.
Since he has a deep understanding of the issues in the field as well as an engineering background in controls, Ketan is able to develop products and tools to help overcome common contractor challenges to make installation quicker and easier.
In 2020, Ketan supported Johnson Controls New Product Introduction (NPI) program to launch the expanded Premier commercial rooftop units.
“My career goal is to become a product leader by working on innovative and market-disruptive technologies, by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to successfully plan, create, develop and introduce a portfolio of market-winning products that are sustainable, more efficient, and consumer friendly,” Ketan said.
