Doug Rose
Doug Rose was born into the plumbing business, as his father started Emergency Plumbing Service in 1977. He was well-equipped, from a technical perspective, to take the reins of his dad’s business along with his siblings, Nick and Jennifer, in 2008.
Doug was instrumental in driving the 2020 decision to add HVAC to the company’s portfolio as the rebranded business.
“It really was the next step in the evolution of Emergency Plumbing Service,” Doug said.
Doug’s future goal for the HVAC side of the business is to build a culture that attracts quality technicians, sets high standards, and changes the status quo in the HVAC industry.
“We want to continue to grow the HVAC division of the company while staying focused on our core values, community involvement, and culture,” Doug said.
What sets Doug apart is his mission to teach and instill the importance of the trade industry in today’s youth. Doug has taken the initiative to do something about the growing lack of trade workers. He has helped create an enrichment program that educates students as young as elementary school that showcases the importance of tradesworkers by taking a fun, interactive approach. In addition, he has helped develop a pathway to a Pre-Apprentice Program for the local vocational high school students. This allows students in the program to go to school half day and receive on-the-job training with Emergency Plumbing, Heating & Air. Doug was also the driving force behind the development of the four-year State Licensed Apprenticeship Program.
“I want to change the way people view the service industry as a whole,” Doug said.
