Synergy Welcomes Two New Board Members

LISLE, Ill. — Synergy Solution Group, an association of commercial HVAC companies across the country, announced two new board members. Andrew Foster with Pacific Rim Mechanical (San Diego, Calif.) and Kyle Pennington with A.J. Monier (San Antonio, Texas) were both voted in by their fellow Synergy members to join the board.


Kevin Almon Receives 2022 Loving Heart Award

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Synergy Solution Group gave it’s 2022 Tim Hartigan Loving Heart Award to Kevin Almon (Vital Mechanical Service) at the 2022 Executives Forum in Charleston. The award is given to the Synergy member who embodies the qualities of loving and caring for fellow Synergy peers. Julie Bishop, Synergy’s executive director, presented Kevin the award at the 2022 Executives Forum in Charleston.

At the session, Bishop spoke of the business philosophy of putting friends, family, and future before everything else. She also shared the impact that Almon’s entrepreneurial spirit has on Vital employees, but also Synergy and its members.

 “He’s a big reason why Synergy even exits,” said Bishop. “He’s not only a mentor, but a true friend.”

The Loving Heart Award is a special recognition to honor the memory and life of former member Tim Hartigan and his impact on others.


Storer Services Receives 2022 Peer of the Year Award

CHARLESTON, S.C. Synergy member Storer Services (Shreveport, La.) received Synergy’s 2022 Sam De Angelis Peer of the Year Award at the 2022 Executives Forum held Nov. 6-10th in Charleston. Storer Services was recognized as the member who best represented Synergy’s core values of commitment, humility, accountability, fun, integrity, and innovation.

At the session Jim Bartolotta, Synergy’s Managing Partner, presented Aaron Storer with the award. Bartolotta shared that their company’s belief and commitment to training, not only their own team but others in the industry, was a big reason why they were selected as the 2022 Peer of the Year. 

“They attended almost every Synergy session and they were involved on several task forces to help plan meetings,” said Julie Bishop, Synergy’s executive director. “They are very open to sharing their best ideas and are always doing fun and innovative things.”

This year the Peer of the Year Award was renamed to the Sam DeAngelis Peer of the Year Award to honor the life and memory of former Synergy member and forever friend, Sam DeAngelis.
