While some segments of the sheet metal construction industry continue to struggle, officials with Metalmaster Roofmaster Inc. say 2013 was a very good year.
The McHenry, Ill.-based metal roofing company said last year was the second highest for gross sales in its 36-year history. As a result, it purchased several new trucks, estimating software and sheet metal and roofing fabrication equipment.
A number of new employees were hired and the company continues to look for talented workers, officials said. The company said it continues to invest in its other enities, including Sno Gem Inc., which makes snow retention, solar and roof accessory attachment products; Limitless Innovations Inc., which designs and and develops, niche products; and Smeja LLC, a real-estate holdings company.
“Even during a depressed economy, our family has remained steadfast in our Christian faith and beliefs,” said Vice President of Marketing Rock Smeja. “It is through the Lord that we are able to continue to employ and hire additional employees and expand our business into new businesses.”
The company has earned awards from Firestone, Berridge Manufacturing and several other manufacturers.
