Hardcast’s water-based duct sealants and mastics have been awarded Greenguard gold-level certification from UL Environment.

To earn the Greenguard stamp, products have to meet stringent environmental requirements including not emit volatile organic compounds.

The certification means that the Hardcast green HVAC products will help meet requirements under programs such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, the U.S. General Services Administration’s Advantage, Collaborative for High Performance Schools, the International Green Construction Code and those administered by European Union, according to Hardcast.

Hardcast regularly submits its duct sealing products to monitoring and testing and publishes the results, company officials added.
