The Arizona resident who correctly guesses the first day thermometers in the state hit 100 could be cooling off at a luxury resort’s pool.

The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association’s Arizona chapter is again sponsoring its 100-Degree Contest, offering the public a chance to win a two-night stay at the Four Seasons Resort near Scottsdale, Ariz., for guessing the date the official temperature at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport reaches 100°F.

In 2007, it was April 28.

SMACNA-AZ’s executive director, Carol Goguen, said the contest is a fun way to get the public ready for the desert’s hot summer months and teach them about the association and its member contractors.

Contestants can enter atwww.smacna-az.org. Only one entry per person, per day is accepted.
