Follansbee Steel will be showing its latest metal-roofing products at the American Institute of Architects national convention, May 15-17 in Boston.
The West Virginia-based company will focus on its TCS II and TCS Satin terne-coated steel roofs, which have survived more than 22,000 hours of salt-spray testing, officials announced.
"The superior corrosion resistance of a Follansbee roof, even in the harshest coastal environments, creates what is truly a lifetime roofing option," said Edward Thomas, Follansbee vice president and general manager. "Testing is normally stopped after 2,000 hours on most competitors' products. Without a doubt, this is an astonishing achievement, providing solid proof that a Follansbee roof is a permanent solution for commercial and residential roof in coastal settings."
