The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating
and Air-Conditioning Engineers has a new manual for Standard 90.1.
The revised users manual for ASHRAE’s energy standard will
make it easier to conserve, society officials said.
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and
Air-Conditioning Engineers’ new manual for Standard 90.1, “Energy Standard for Buildings
Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings,” has just been released. It includes
extensive changes to incorporate the 44 addenda approved since the 2004
edition, said Keith Emerson, who oversaw the changes.
“The Appendix G changes will
be particularly useful to people involved with projects that are trying to
achieve a certain amount of savings over and above the minimum requirements of
the standard,” Emerson said.
Detailed instructions,
calculations and compliance forms are included. Sections include HVAC systems,
water heating, power and lighting.
The cost is $93 plus
shipping and handling, or $74 for society members.
