A York
furnace has won two awards in recent months.
The York
Affinity 33-inch, variable-speed,
modulating gas furnace with an electronically commutated motor won an
Innovation Award at the recent AHR Expo in Chicago and was named a “best buy”
from Consumers Digest.
“The York Affinity modulating
gas furnace is the perfect choice for dealers and homeowners searching for
efficient heating systems that are easy to install and service in tight spaces
while contributing to green, sustainable home design,” said Jeff Hurt, York
brand manager. “We’re excited that industry professionals recognize the
significant contribution this innovative new product makes to energy efficiency
and have honored the Affinity unit with two outstanding awards.”
The Innovation Award is handed out annually at the expo by
a panel of industry experts selected by the staff of the American Society of
Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ official magazine,
ASHRAE Journal.
Consumers Digest hands out its awards based
on value, reliability and the manufacturer’s reputation.
The redesigned furnace is shorter, quieter and energy
efficient with a 98 percent annual fuel utilization efficiency rating - among the highest in the industry, company
officials said.
York is a brand of Johnson Controls Inc.
