Organizers are expecting
20,000 attendees when Greenbuild opening Wednesday in Phoenix.
More than 1,800 trade show exhibitor
booths and a green-jobs fair are among the attractions slotted for the
three-day event.
“This year’s Greenbuild will offer more opportunities than ever for
attendees to literally connect to the conversation, whether it is through
interactive sessions and events, the vast expo floor or through social
networking platforms,” said Kimberly Lewis, vice president of conferences and
events for the U.S. Green Building Council, which sponsors the show.
Scheduled activities also include an executive roundtable where corporate
and nonprofit leaders will explain what sustainability means to them; “salons,”
where art, technology and sustainability are to be merged; and a summit focusing on
the health of the sustainable home-building market.
