Fueled by federal tax credits, U.S. homeowners
will push the industries to double-digit growth as they spend billions on
remodeling work and upgrades, SBI officials said.
The energy-efficient HVAC
and green roofing markets will return to prosperity by 2011, according to a new
study by market research firm SBI Energy.
Fueled by federal tax
credits, U.S. homeowners will push the industries to double-digit growth as
they spend billions on remodeling work and upgrades, SBI officials said.
"Beyond 2010, we project that all
residential energy-efficient roofing and HVAC product segments will follow the
anticipated rise in the construction and remodeling cycle that will occur as a
result of the government stimulus," said Shelley Carr, SBI Energy
publisher.
SBI says the HVAC industry will have a compound
annual growth rate of 16 percent from now until 2013. The segment’s market
value will exceed $5 billion, officials added.
Residential roofing sales will grow 20 percent
to 30 percent annually between 2011 and 2013, the report said.
