The Association for Career and Technical
Education is the latest organization to sponsor the HVACR & Plumbing
Instructor Workshop. The 2010 workshop will focus on “Advancing Green Mechanical
Concepts,” and will be held March 24-26 at the National
Conference Center
in Lansdowne, Va.
ACTE has been around
since 1926, and is dedicated to education advancements that prepare youth and
adults for successful careers.
In addition to sponsorship,
ACTE’s Tom Applegate will present “Your Survival Guide to the Changing Face of
Education,” during the opening session of the workshop. He will provide an
overview of the changes happening in secondary and postsecondary education.
Following his presentation there will be a panel discussion focusing on current
issues that affect instructors. ACTE will also exhibit during the workshop’s
evening receptions on March 24 and 25.
The HVACR &
Plumbing Instructor Workshop is sponsored by eleven industry organizations,
including the Air Conditioning Contractors of America; the Air-Conditioning,
Heating and Refrigeration Institute; the Heating, Air Conditioning &
Refrigeration Distributors International and several more.
