The winners in the categories of commercial and residential contracting will be announced during the Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s March 7-9 convention in Tampa, Fla.

Contractors from Indiana, Iowa, Florida and Texas are among the finalists for the ACCA’s 2010 Contractor of the Year.

“Contractors from across the country of varying size and with many different business models threw their hats into the ring in our re-designed Contractors of the Year program,” said ACCA President and CEO Paul T. Stalknecht. “These six finalists represent some of the most unique business approaches in the industry, and our panel of past chairmen who are judging have a solid group of finalists from which they can select the winners.”

The residential finalists are:

Service Legends in Des Moines, Iowa

Conditioned Air Corp. of Naples, Fla.

Finalists for the commercial award are:

MSI Mechanical in Salem, N.H.

Blackall Mechanical of Farmers Branch, Texas

TAG Mechanical in Syracuse, N.Y.
