Volunteers and supplies are needed to help with roof
repair, painting, flooring and carpentry work.
Officials
with the International Roofing Expo are looking for volunteers to participate
in its Feb. 21 Community Service Day.
Working
with the New Orleans chapter of charity Rebuilding Together, volunteers will
spend the day working New Orleans home of 75-year-old
retiree Maggie Stephens, who still feeling the impact of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
“By
participating in this rewarding day, attendees and exhibitors can truly make a
difference in the life of Ms. Stephens,” said expo director Donna Bellantone. “Displaced
since 2005, she is ecstatic we are helping make her dream of returning home
come true.”
Volunteers
