Contractors can learn all about duct leakage during an
upcoming Webinar sponsored by the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’
National Association.
The 11 a.m. Dec. 2 Internet seminar will be hosted by Eli
Howard, executive director of SMACNA’s technical resources department, and Mark Terzigni, a SMACNA project
manager. The two will explain how to perform duct calculations manually and how
to use the tables and charts provided in SMACNA’s HVAC Air Duct Leakage
Test Manual. Other topics include duct leakage as it relates to building codes
and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and the misconceptions and myths of
leakage.
The seminar
is aimed at project managers, estimators, engineers, shop superintendents,
field supervisors, foremen, lead journeymen, designers, and people involved in
testing and balancing work, officials said.
The cost is $95 for SMACNA members
