Lennox International announced it would open a global
technology center in Chennai, India, a move it said would help with HVACR
product development.
"This latest expansion of our
technology footprint is consistent with our strategy of growth through
leadership products and solutions in the global markets we serve,” said Todd Bluedorn, chief executive officer at Lennox International.
The center will primarily work on controls
engineering, analysis and information technology, officials said.
"We've chosen Chennai after carefully benchmarking other locations around the
world," said chief technology officer Prakash Bedapudi. "Chennai has one of the world's most highly trained engineering and
information technology resource pools, and we are excited to work with the best
and brightest to further extend (Lennox’s) technology leadership."
