Speeches and discussions from the June 16 Energy Efficiency Forum in Washington, D.C., will be simulcast on the Internet.

Activities from the international forum will be shown online atVirtualEnergyForum.com , which is itself the site of a twice-annual Internet-based virtual trade show and conference.

“We are delighted to be able to webcast the Energy Efficiency Forum at VirtualEnergyForum.com,” said Dave Myers, president of co-sponsor Johnson Controls’ building efficiency division. “By combining the more than 300 audience members at the National Press Club with the thousands of people signing on to the Virtual Energy Forum, we can provide an outstanding opportunity for dialogue that increases understanding of policies and best practices for implementing energy efficiency and sustainability.”

The event is scheduled to include eight live video presentations and a Johnson Controls-sponsored “booth.”

“This groundbreaking event will allow us to maintain the value and benefits of face-to-face interaction, while bringing our expert Energy Efficiency Forum speakers to the world stage using an online platform that is time-efficient, cost-effective and green,” Myers said.  “The combination of on-site presentations with global online participation sets an example for the future of conferencing.”

The U.S. Energy Association is also sponsoring the event. Conference details are at the official event website.
