Twenty-one specialty contractors recently
attended a two-day designated risk management training seminar at insurance
company Federated’s Owatonna, Minn., headquarters.
Trainers and risk management
experts covered topics that included: hiring practices and background checks, succession
planning, distracted driving and disaster planning.
Attendees learned that spending
risk management dollars wisely can provide immediate savings.
“This seminar is worth 2½ days, no
doubt about it,” said Samuel Nantz, chief financial officer of F. H. Furr
Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning in Manassas, Va.

Conditioning Contractors of America.
