Century Refrigeration announced a price
increase due to the fluctuating cost of raw materials.
Raw materials price increases are forcing Century
Refrigeration to hike prices 6 percent to 8 percent.
In the last year, copper and aluminum costs have risen to a
level that they cannot be contained with cost savings in other areas, such as
new tooling and automation, officials said.
“Despite
these initial price increases, we are committed to keeping our customer’s total
cost of ownership to a minimum. Century equipment is designed to reduce
installation, maintenance, and utility costs throughout the lifetime of the
system,” said Kevin Trowhill, vice president of sales for Century Refrigeration.
Century Refrigeration is a division
of RAE Corp.
