ASHRAE’s 2011 winter meeting saw its highest attendance in 15 years, society officials announced.

An estimated 3,400 attended the Jan. 29-Feb. 2 conference, held in Las Vegas. The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers said 400 first-time attendees also came to the meeting, which was held in conjunction with the AHR Expo.

ASHRAE’s gathering included 300 technical sessions, 20 educational courses and 600 committee meetings.
