results also show that contractors are not feeling as confident as they were a year ago.
The ACCA is optimistic but cautious about business prospects as summer turns
to fall, according to the most recent member survey.
The Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s Contractor
Comfort Index for August was 53. Using a 100-point scale and a survey of members on business conditions, any number above 50
indicates that most members are feeling positive about the economy.
While still positive, ACCA members are feeling less confident
than they did a year ago: In August 2010, the CCI number was 61.
The next index will be released at the end of September.
