New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, New York Times columnist
Thomas Friedman and political commentator Cokie Roberts are among those set to
appear at Greenbuild in October.
The U.S. Green Building Council’s annual conference and expo
takes place Oct. 4-7 in Toronto.
”Each year, we strive to
build a program enriched with thoughtful pairings of expert speakers with
topical, relevant and inspiring content," said Kimberly Lewis, vice president
of events at the USGBC. "This year, as Greenbuild celebrates its 10-year
anniversary and answers the question, 'What's next?' We look forward to hosting
a roster of world-renowned visionaries."
Friedman will be the Oct. 5 keynote speaker, as well as
participating in a panel moderated by Roberts, the former co-host of ABC News’
“This Week.”
Bloomberg will deliver the closing speech Oct. 7, discussing
what cities can do to further environmental goals.
