HARDI has announced the name of the new magazine it is
launching with BNP Media.
The new magazine, scheduled to appear in January, will be
called Distribution Center.
The publication will be the official magazine of the Heating,
Airconditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International and will be the
only source of editorial commentary and resources written to enhance the
success of association members, HARDI said. It will be produced in
collaboration with the Air
Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration News, BNP Media’s 85-year-old flagship
HVAC weekly publication; and Snips.
“On behalf of BNP Media, the
News, and partner magazine Snips, we are very excited to be
launching Distribution Center magazine as the official publication for
such an outstanding organization as HARDI,” said Mike Murphy, editor in chief
of the News. “We are bringing our best talent from BNP Media together
with the resources of HARDI. I can assure everyone that this will be the most
professional, reliable, and informative magazine in the distribution market.”
The bimonthly publication
will be read by approximately 11,000 people each issue. A digital version,
dedicated website and special section within the ACHR News are also planned.
“We’ve put a lot of effort into mapping an
editorial strategy with BNP Media that will provide robust and valuable
information across all aspects of those involved with HVACR wholesale
distribution,” said HARDI’s executive vice president and chief operating
officer, Talbot Gee. “We’ll be unveiling the format to those attending our annual
conference in
October and
educating our various committees and councils on how to fully use this new,
powerful tool to their maximum advantage.”
