Spiral
ductwork from Eastern Sheet Metal is now certified by the Air Movement and
Control Association, company officials announced.
“Eastern has tested and qualified the industry’s first
AMCA-certified ductwork,” said Bill Stout Jr., president of the Ohio-based
company. “All of our spiral ducts are certified for air leakage and licensed to
bear the AMCA seal.”
Since
HVAC systems can account for up to 40 percent of a building’s annual energy
bill, reducing duct leakage is critical to saving money, Eastern officials
said.
AMCA
certification proves that Eastern’s spiral ductwork will perform the same every
time, officials added.
