NASCAR driver Kyle Petty is replacing Rusty Wallace as keynote
speaker for the International Roofing Expo.
Petty will speak at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 22 in the South Hall
of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. His presentation will
cover his professional journey from racecar driver to businessman and philanthropist.
Wallace had to cancel his speech due to another
obligation, show officials said.
“With NASCAR
taking place the same week as our show, we really wanted another speaker from
the NASCAR world,” said Lindsay Roberts, expo director. “As a member of
NASCAR's most famous family, Kyle Petty is the perfect replacement."
Bill Good, executive
vice president of the National Roofing Contractors Association, the show’s
official sponsor, agreed.
“Attendees
and exhibitors will benefit from Petty’s motivational address,” he said. “His
down-to-earth style makes him one of the most popular personalities in all of
sports. I encourage our members to attend.”
