Duct
products maker Carlisle HVAC has been given a Silver Gaia Award by the organizers of the
Big 5 International Building and Construction Show.
The award was for the company’s RE-500,
a robot-applied insulation encapsulation product. It was chosen from more than 120 entries in
the green building industry competition.
“Being a Gaia Award winner
is a significant achievement for Carlisle HVAC,” said Billy Prewitt, the
company’s marketing manager. “It has
always been our goal to provide the highest quality product while preserving
our environment and its resources.”
When RE-500 is used with
ISAAC (Inspecting, Sealing and Advanced Cleaning Robotic System), the low-volatile
organic compound coating is ideal for projects such as hospitals and
schools, officials said. Its finish will prevent debris accumulation that could
lead to mold, they added.
