ACCA members are staying upbeat business as head into fall. For August, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s Contractor Comfort Index was 60.

The number, which surveys contractor sentiments on short-term economic growth, is better than a year ago, when it sat at 53. A figure above 50 says members feel more confident than negative about the economy.

The next index will be released at the end of September.
