Next month, Uponor North America will break ground on a 17,500-square-foot addition to its Apple Valley, Minn., headquarters.
The manufacturing space will used to make cross-linked polyethylene tubing for plumbing, fire sprinkler and radiant HVAC systems.
“We are projecting substantial growth for our PEX product in the commercial and residential markets for plumbing, fire sprinkler and radiant floor heating and cooling systems,” said Uponor President Bill Gray. “This expansion will allow us to continue our growth in the PEX marketplace and ensure we can meet current and future customer demand.”
This will be the fifth expansion for the facility since it was built in 1990, Uponor said. It houses the company’s corporate offices and Uponor Academy training center. It will total 230,000 square feet when the expansion is completed.
