The U.S. government might be shutting down, but that hasn’t yet affected the mood of ACCA members.

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s Contractor Comfort Index for September stands at 67.

The index surveys members on their opinions for short-term business prospects, growth, activity and staffing levels. A number above 50 means more contractors feel positive than negative.

A year ago, the index was at 56. Last month it was 66.

The next survey will be released at the end of October.
