Tennessee Rand, a robotic company owned by Lincoln Electric, has been given an award by a small-business group.

The Small Business Institute for Excellence in Commerce gave the 2013 Tennessee Excellence Award to Tennessee Rand for its commitment to customers and the region, officials said.

 “We are proud to be recognized for providing excellent service to our customers,” said company President Don Peters. “This award demonstrates our ongoing commitment to supporting our surrounding community by providing a business that is focused on delivering solutions.”
