A geothermal heat pump from WaterFurnace International has been given an Innovation Award from organizers of the AHR Expo.
The Seven Series model 700A11 from WaterFurnace was picked in the heating category by a panel of American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers members.
The Seven Series is the first consumer-focused variable-capacity geothermal pump with efficiency levels twice that of conventional HVAC systems and 30 percent more than other geothermal systems, WaterFurnace said.
"We're incredibly proud the Seven Series won one of the most celebrated awards in our industry,” said WaterFurnace President and CEO Tom Huntington. "It reflects WaterFurnace’s dedication to innovation and is especially humbling since the Seven Series was chosen over some amazing products from the biggest names in HVAC."
WaterFurnace and other winners will be recognized at a Jan. 22, 2014, ceremony.
