Johnson Controls now offers a series of pneumatic-to-digital thermostats.
The WT-4000 series converts older pneumatic room control HVAC construction systems and enables communication with newer digital building automation systems.
It provides the temperature monitoring and green HVAC programmable benefits of a digital control system with battery operation and without the need for additional wiring.
“This is another industry-leading innovation by the company that invented the first pneumatic controls system 119 years ago,” said Terry Pierson, product manager at Johnson Controls. “This new 21st century series of thermostats allows buildings with older pneumatic control systems to enter the digital world.”
The new thermostats are ideal for commercial buildings, schools and hospitals, officials said. The thermostats come in eight different setups and offer either Fahrenheit or Celsius displays.
