The Air Conditioning Contractors of America's Contractor Comfort Index has set a new record. 

For May, the index is 86 on a 100-point scale. That is the highest the index, which measures members' opinions on the HVAC constrcution and HVAC sales market, has ever been.

A year ago, the index was at 77. Last month, it was 81.

The next index will be released near the end of June.
