Coatings maker MetoKote Corp. recently held a ceremony to mark the opening of its Melbane, N.C., facility.

Customers and local officials took part in the ceremonies.

MetoKote customer GKN Driveline said the new location played a part in the company’s selection of MetoKote as a supplier.

"We were looking for more than just a supplier.  We wanted a company that offered the highest quality coating services in a location very close to our Roxboro facility, minimizing logistics costs," said Mike Gallagher, GKN purchasing director.  "We felt MetoKote was a great option." 

MetoKote’s president and CEO, Jeff Oravitz, thanked the company for their business.

"MetoKote was pleased to have been chosen by GKN and is looking forward to a great business relationship,” he said. “We have valued them as a customer for the past several years and are thrilled to move to the next level with them."
