The headquarters for Mitsubishi Electric has earned two Green Globe awards from a certification group.
The ductless HVAC construction equipment manufacturer was given the awards from the Green Building Initiative for its Suwanee, Ga., facility’s “excellent progress in the reduction of environmental impacts and use of environmental efficiency practices,” according to the institute.
The year-old headquarters uses Mitsubishi’s own variable-refrigerant flow green HVAC zoning systems.
“We are proud to achieve Green Globes certification for our Suwanee office,” said Gary Nettinger, Mitsubishi Electric US Inc. Cooling & Heating Division’s director of original equipment manufacturer solutions and applications. “This accomplishment illustrates our significant commitment to sustainability and efficiency when approaching the design and construction of our facility.”
