If you’ve downloaded the Copper Development Association’s mobile app based on its popular Copper Tube Handbook, you may need to do it again. The application’s Apple version has changed platforms.
The app is aimed at plumbers, HVAC construction technicians and HVAC market contractors or anyone who needs to know about joining methods and applications.
“The Copper Tube Handbook has always been one of our ‘best-selling’ free publications,’” said Andy Kireta Jr., vice president of the CDA. “In the past several years, we’ve noticed that a large proportion of the more than 5,000 requested copies are being downloaded from the web instead of being ordered in the printed version. Now, engineers, installers and inspectors will be able to carry the handbook with them in their pocket ?in one, easy-to-use mobile app.”
The tablet version allows users to “flip” pages like a book or jump to sections including videos.
The Android version does not need to be downloaded again, officials added.
