Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc. has promoted Jose Alvares to vice president of sales and marketing and global customer support. 

He was previously director of sales for North America.

Alvares has more than 20 years of experience in global HVAC construction and refrigeration, including sales, business development, market analysis, product management, and application and design engineering.

In his new role, Alvares will be responsible for application and technical support, product management and marketing, business development and digital services.

“Jose has a strong record of performance, and this role is critical to Danfoss providing the highest level of service to our customers,” said Danfoss Turbocor Compressors President Ricardo Schneider. “We’re very passionate about our history as pioneers of world-class oil-free magnetic bearing variable speed technology, and we are excited to continue innovating to meet our customers’ needs and advancing energy efficiency technologies around the world.”

Alvares will be based out of Danfoss Turbocor Compressors’ headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida.
