Trimble will distribute EastCoast CAD/CAM products, the HVAC construction software and equipment company announced.

The addition of EastCoast products means Trimble’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing lineup is now compatible with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP. The software titles include EC-CAD, EC-DuctMaker and EastCoast MEP Design to Fabrication.

“As building information modeling continues to transform the construction industry, it is important for us to provide a variety of options for our customers who rely on a multitude of CAD (computer-aided drafting) platforms,” said Brett Stacks, CAD/CAM segment manager with Trimble’s MEP division. “The addition of EastCoast CAD/CAM’s solutions provides our clients with additional platform support and demonstrates our open interoperability strategy.”

EastCoast President David Derocher said the agreement was a good one for his company.  

“Partnering with Trimble gives us the opportunity to reach a broader customer base and enables us to continue to develop solutions that solve real-world customer challenges,” he said.
