John Bronstrup has been promoted to the newly created position of president of business development for the Americas Welding segment at Lincoln Electric Co.
Bronstrup previously served as vice president of finance for the North American region. In his new role, Bronstrup will lead the development and implementation of the Americas Welding group strategy to increase sales in key product portfolios, such as education, welding accessories and alloy-based consumables.
“John’s financial leadership and track record of ensuring the success of our commercial and operational initiatives has been instrumental in driving our ‘2020 vision and strategy’ results,” said George Blankenship, executive vice president and president of Americas Welding at Lincoln Electric. “His experience and focus will help us scale these innovative, value-added solutions in the Americas and extend our brand as the welding experts among new and existing customers and channels.”
Bronstrup has worked at Lincoln Electric for nearly 20 years in a variety of management roles. He’s also served as the chief accounting officer and corporate controller of Hawk Corp. and started his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen.
