Midwest Tool & Cutlery recently raised $6,000 for a military charity after a four-month sales promotion.
Two dollars from each set of commemorative snips the Sturgis, Michigan-based sheet metal forming toolmaker sold between July 4 and Veterans Day was earmarked for Homes for Our Troops, a charity that provides free accessible housing to veterans injured in the line of duty.
“I was so pleased that everyone got behind us on this initiative,” said Chuck Loparo, Midwest’s national sales manager. “Our employees, our sales representatives and our distributors showed their true spirit of giving by helping us make this happen.”
