Mitsubishi Electric U.S. Heating and Cooling Division donated 50 zoned HVAC units to the Veterans Community Project, a nonprofit organization serving homeless veterans in Kansas City, Missouri. 

“The VCP is doing great work for the Kansas City community in their mission to end veteran homelessness,” said David Wadsworth, director of residential business for Southwest operations at Mitsubishi Electric. “We are honored to support this organization and provide veterans a comfortable home and sense of well-being during their transition back into society.”

The nonprofit’s Veterans Village community offers food, utilities, counseling and employment opportunities to women and men who have served in the U.S. military. Mitsubishi donated MSZ-SH09 indoor units and MUZ-SH09 outdoor units to the 240-square-foot homes that make up the Veterans Village. The company also plans to donate a Zoned Comfort Solution to the 6,000-square-foot community center.

“Mitsubishi Electric’s efforts opened the doors for other companies to follow in their footsteps,” said Kevin Jamison, co-founder of the Veterans Community Project. “They were the first company to step up and donate, helping to lower the overall cost of our Veterans Village. We are grateful for their help in making this project possible.”
