Trane has named a Las Vegas area homebuilder as its 2017 Partner of the Year.
The HVAC construction products manufacturer gave Henderson, Nevada-based Element Building Co. the award, which it says best exemplifies the values of the Ingersoll Rand brand.
Element was general contractor on a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital project in Nevada that erected a sustainable home to be raffled off to benefit the charity.
The company was recognized at recent event in Memphis, Tennessee.
“Element’s collaborative partnership with the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway program created opportunities for the Las Vegas metropolitan building community and other contractors with whom they worked to build the home to the emerald level of the National Green Building Standard certification to benefit St. Jude,” said Mark Hall, a builder and retail leader for Trane.
The American National Standards Institute-approved green standard, evaluates projects in site design, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and building operations and related subjects.
“The Element team, led by Josh Anderson, owner of Element Building Company, shared their passion for the cause and construction of high performance homes with others, pulling their partners and the community together to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its lifesaving mission,” Hall added.
Also involved in the project was HVAC market distributor Ferguson and contractor Sun County HVAC.
