Sheet metal contractors are largely an under-the-radar business. The public generally doesn’t know what they do and it’s probably likely a lot of people have never heard of the industry.

But that doesn’t mean they never make the news. The Quad City Times, based in Davenport, Iowa, recently ran a story about the evolution of Oertel Metal Works and the company’s changes over 30 years in business.
