After new furnace efficiency ratings (FER) regulations went into effect earlier this month, Lennox has expanded its line of furnaces to be equipped with ECMs in anticipation of these regulations.
The power consumption limit, lowered by the Department of Energy, can only be met by ECMs, which eliminates PSC motors. Lennox developed the following furnace fans to meet the power consumption requirement and continue the company’s tradition of ensuring perfect air, ideal temperatures, and continuous efficiency and durability:
- Elite SeriesEL280E Gas Furnace: Superior two-stage gas furnace with constant torque fan and 80 percent AFUE
- Merit SeriesML296V Gas Furnace: Variable-speed gas furnace that heats the home evenly and efficiently with 96 percent AFUE
- ML193E Gas Furnace: Single-stage gas furnace with constant torque fan with 93 percent AFUE
