TROY , Mich. — The Dealer Design Awards recognize contractor-oriented products with features that assist in installation, maintenance, and service of installed products to the HVACR industry. Date product introduced for sale into market must be between January 2022 and April 2023.

Judging will be conducted by a panel of independent HVACR contractors. Please remember the judges are individuals taking time from their businesses to judge a large volume of entries. Keep the entries and documentation succinct and to the point. Make it as easy as possible for them to recognize the product’s value. The use of video to highlight product features and applications is suggested.

We strongly encourage you to showcase your entry with print-quality (your best image resolution) photos and with a video. Don’t worry if the video is not Oscar-worthy. These videos will not be published in any manner without the permission of the submitter. This means you can feel comfortable grabbing your smartphone or amateur recording device and give the judges an inside look at what makes your product exceptional.

Write each entry with contractors in mind, as if you were doing an in-person demonstration for them. In most cases, judges will be looking at other product entries very similar to yours. If you can, document specific improvements that enhance reliability or reduce the time and effort required for installation, maintenance, or service. Consumer-oriented features are not considered when rating the products.
