BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — A-Gas, a refrigerant management company, expanded its service offerings in Charlotte, North Carolina, providing the local HVACR communities with quick and easy cylinder swaps through the Rapid Exchange® program. This expansion comes after A-Gas took ownership of the Charlotte Rapid Recovery® location, which was previously franchise-owned.

“Nationwide, HVACR contractors have relied on Rapid Recovery for years to streamline their operations and create a new revenue stream by selling their recovered refrigerant,” said Kimberly Ortwine, territory account manager, A-Gas. “Now, the local Charlotte area contractors can use our free and convenient Rapid Exchange program to get clean, vacuumed, in-date cylinders for their businesses while taking advantage of our immediate buyback program.”

While a global organization, A-Gas Rapid Recovery and Rapid Exchange locations offer local services to support businesses of all sizes. A-Gas provides small and medium HVACR businesses with the opportunity to bring in new revenue for the refrigerant gases they recover, which strengthens local economies. The services also support larger businesses, including grocery stores, food retail, construction and demolition, commercial real estate, and banks, among others.

“Since I joined Rapid Recovery, I’ve seen contractors benefit from our job site recovery services,” said Jonathan Sanders, business development leader, Rapid Recovery in Charlotte. “I’m excited we can give Charlotteans an easy way to get recovery cylinders to recover refrigerant safely. But I’m more excited to see these contractors get money for the valuable refrigerants they recover. Rapid Exchange makes it really easy — we show up, swap your tanks for empties, and payout once we test the refrigerant.”

As a modern refrigerant reclaimer, A-Gas is focused on environmental stewardship through the lifecycle management of refrigerant gases, contributing to the circular economy. A-Gas manages the full life cycle of refrigerants, from recovery to reclamation and re-entry into the market through refrigerant sales; A-Gas will also destroy refrigerants at the end of their useful life to assist organizations in meeting their own sustainability mandates.
