AUSTIN, Texas — The skilled trades training company Interplay Learning has launched Intelligence Lab, a team of experts who will provide solutions for the skilled trades, as well as SAM, the industry’s first mentor for learning that’s powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

SAM provides technicians with immediate guidance during their training, helping them gain skills fast and efficiently, according to a press release from Interplay.

SAM, or Skill Advisor and Mentor, goes beyond providing quick answers that undermine learning, the company said. Instead, SAM asks questions and provides additional context to help learners comprehend the content while sharpening critical thinking skills, the company said. Available exclusively in SkillMill, SAM gives technicians personalized support when they need it.
