FEDERALSBURG, Md. — M&M Carnot, which provides HVACR products that use refrigerants with ultra-low global warming potential (GWP), recently completed the first phase of a 50,000-square-foot expansion of its manufacturing plant here.
The expansion will create more than 100 highly technical jobs for skilled workers, the company said.
The expansion will provide manufacturing space for the Aquilon Industrial CO2 package system product line. The space has been configured to efficiently manufacture the standard packages, which use CO2 refrigerant, with an assembly-line approach, ensuring maximum quality and low lead times, the company said.
The company plans other expansions within the next 12 to 24 months.
“We are bringing safe, sustainable, energy-efficient refrigeration solutions that help prevent global warming, to be manufactured in Federalsburg, Maryland,” said Dave Sholtis, the CEO of M&M Carnot.
M&M Carnot developed its Aquilon CO2 package product line to promote the adoption of natural-refrigeration CO2 equipment in the industrial refrigeration market for applications that include cold storage and distribution, food processing, and ice rinks. The Aquilon CO2 products provide end users with an alternative to ammonia as a natural refrigeration solution, while also removing the perceived complexity of CO2 solutions by offering fully packaged systems.
M&M Carnot also manufactures Aquilon CO2 solutions for commercial and data center applications, and continues to innovate in the ammonia refrigeration space with its newly launched Pure Package products.
